Why Order a Commission?

A custom piece allows you to have something uniquely tailored to your preferences, be it color palette, style, size, or subject matter. A piece of artwork can also be created as a special gift for a loved one, designed with them in mind.

 

Sentimentality

Custom artwork often holds a deeper sense of sentiment, as it is inspired by ideas, aesthetics, stories, or memories that are especially meaningful to you. It can also be a unique way to commemorate a special event, person, or time in your life.

Commissioning a custom piece of artwork allows you to be involved in the creative process. Not only are you supporting local, but we would be connecting to bring your vision to life using my experience and style.

 

 

The Commission Process

 

1. Complete the form below to initiate the process.

2. I will then request specifications as to your preferences, such as colour scheme, size, subject matter, mood, and any particular timeline you may have. Typically, commissioned pieces take 2-3 weeks to complete.

3. After gaining a clearer understanding of the scope of the commission, you will be provided with a quote. Commissioned pieces start at $100 CAD. A non-refundable deposit of $50 CAD paid via e-transfer is required upfront with the remaining balance due upon completion and your approval of your new artwork.

4. If ordering acrylic on canvas (Dream Series): I will provide you with a loose sketch of the design for your approval before beginning. We will have at least one check-in with photos when complete at which point we can discuss minor adjustments/corrections. Major changes can be accommodated at an additional cost. Upon final approval of the artwork, I will proceed to apply the sealant and UV protective varnish.

If ordering acrylic and ink on paper (Think Series): This style of artwork does not allow for changes as it is a single layer, unalterable technique.

5. Your piece will be ready for you a few days thereafter! Local delivery is available within the greater Edmonton area or I can arrange shipping for an additional cost.
